Capturing the birth of a new family in State College, PA

Newborn sessions are always a joy for me, but I was so happy to get the opportunity recently to photography not only the gorgeous little newborn Haley, but also her whole family.  My biggest regret as a mother and photographer is that I do not have a family shot after the twins were born OR after Mack was born.  I have thousands of pictures of my children and even pictures of my husband or myself with them, but I don't have those milestones of when we first became a family and then became a complete family (yeah this lady is done bearing children ;op)

Here is Haley and her amazing family:

Thankful for 2012

My wedding season isn't over yet - I have two more weddings that I am so excited about coming up in December.  But I am so thankful for all of my 2012 clients, my brand new baby girl (who is no longer brand new at 7 months old), and my amazing family!
With how busy this year has been, I have been extremely lax on keeping up this blog - sometimes it is easier to just post quick blurbs on facebook!
So here is a quick look at just a few of my phenomenal brides, seniors, babies, and families from this past year:

A little vintage, a little modern... a very timeless love (engagement photography)

I was so happy to spend the evening with Erin and James taking their engagement session pictures at the Penn State Arboretum.  They have such a fun playful banter with one another and blatantly enjoyed being as close to one another as possible.
James bravely serves our country flying aircraft for the navy, and will be wearing dress blues for the ceremony.  So he and Erin decided to use part of their engagement session to give a nod to their love of the 20's.  He cleans up pretty good, doesn't he.  It was so much fun to be able to mix the elegant romance of more formal clothing with the modern comfort of everyday wear.  I absolutely love when my couples go outside the 'box', it always ends up being fun.

So without further ado.... James&Erin, Engaged!

A Very Good Reason...

A very good reason for why this blog has been so lacking lately!  And that is the introduction of the newest member of the clan, Mackabrie Elizabeth.
I am so happy to have had the past few months to get ready for, meet, and get to know my little girl.  She will grow so quickly; so I am happy for slower days to soak in her delicate nails, intent gaze, and undeserved love.  With two big brothers, she will never have my undivided attention - but she will have my whole love, as will each of my beautifully growing boys.  It is amazing how love simply grows to encompass them all, if as they grow out of the embrace of my arms reach.
Never fear, I may be smitten with my family, but I am back to work this month.  I am excited to have engagement sessions coming up, consultations for 2013 weddings, and parents of 2013 seniors starting to contact me about Senior Portraits.

But for now, here is baby Mack:
